As a Swahili Patient Navigator at Ethnē, Daniel helps individuals and families from Swahili-speaking communities access health care with dignity and confidence. His role involves guiding patients through appointments, providing language support, and connecting them to resources in a way that respects their cultural background. With a strong foundation in relationship-building and project coordination, he works to remove barriers and ensure our patients feel heard, understood, and cared for throughout their health journeys.
Daniel was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and has lived and worked in South Africa. His experiences leading community organizations and advocating for refugees has given him a deep appreciation for the resilience of people navigating new systems. Working at Ethnē is meaningful to Daniel because it allows him to walk alongside others in their healing journey—offering not only translation but also trust, empathy, and encouragement rooted in shared experience.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and learning new things. He is currently completing an associate’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and is always seeking ways to grow personally and professionally. He is passionate about community, and whether it's over a shared meal or meaningful conversation, he finds joy in connection and collaboration.
