Matthew Lee
Gap Year Intern
Matthew Lee is a gap year intern at Ethnē. He graduated from Emory University with a B.S. in Anthropology and Human Biology and a minor in Spanish. Now, as a Gap Year Intern, he serves the clinic by supporting patients in the different stages of care that they experience at Ethnē.
Originally from California, Matthew came to Georgia to study at Emory with the plan of becoming a medical doctor. This desire to become a medical doctor was further bolstered as he encountered the grace of Jesus Christ in a mighty way in the missional and medical space during his time during undergrad. This would lead to him finding out about Ethnē, where Matthew would fall in love with the mission and values that Ethnē represents. Over the course of the gap year, Matthew hopes to learn from the professionals on how to effectively combine faith and medicine together so that he can go out and do the same in the future.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys trying new restaurants, playing musical instruments, and staying active through working out.
